Hi, I am Matt

The Story Behind the Lens

I’ve spent over a decade behind the camera — crafting images where light, movement, and emotion meet. My background in cinematography shapes everything I do: I think in frames, I chase light, and I care deeply about how things feel.

When I film a wedding, I’m not just documenting. I’m observing. I’m looking for the story between the moments — the subtle gestures, the quiet breath before the words, the way someone looks up when they think no one’s watching.

These are the things that move me. And they’re what make a film truly timeless.

My Approach

No scripts. No replays. No endless slow-motion montages. I work intuitively — blending cinematic storytelling with an honest documentary eye.

I want the film to feel like the day did: warm, imperfect, alive. The pacing, the texture, even the grain — all chosen to evoke memory, not spectacle.

I shoot alone most of the time, which allows me to stay unobtrusive and responsive. The camera becomes an extension of presence — not a production.

Philosophy

I believe imperfection is what makes something beautiful. I believe emotion doesn’t need to be exaggerated to be cinematic. And I believe a wedding film should do more than show what happened — it should feel like being there again.

My goal isn’t to make something viral. It’s to make something true. Something that, years from now, still carries weight, texture, and soul.

The Result

What you get isn’t a product — it’s a film that feels handmade. Honest. Cinematic. Emotional. A piece of your story, told through my lens — and my craft.
